Dr Rebekah Hoffman is a Specialist General Practitioner based in Sydney's Sutherland Shire, with a career that brings together clinical care, education, research, governance, and advocacy.
As a GP, she is passionate about high-quality, relationship-based care that is evidence-based, practical, and centred on the person in front of her. She believes the best general practice is both clinically rigorous and deeply human — valuing prevention, continuity, trust, and shared decision-making.
Alongside clinical work, Dr Hoffman is a practice owner and healthcare leader committed to building contemporary, community-focused models of care. Through Family Medical Practices, she has helped grow and lead practices that prioritise kindness, teamwork, excellence, and innovation while staying grounded in the needs of local families.
She also holds leadership roles within the profession and is deeply committed to advocating for a stronger future for general practice. This includes work in governance, policy, and representation, with a focus on ensuring general practice is recognised as essential to the health of communities and the sustainability of the wider health system.
As a medical educator and researcher, Dr Hoffman is particularly interested in the intersection between clinician wellbeing, training, systems design, and patient care. Her academic work reflects a commitment to asking practical questions that matter to GPs, practices, and the communities they serve.
As a mum of two, she understands the balance of juggling life and work — and entirely acknowledges that being a mum has made her a better doctor and advocate.
